Nero announce Second Reality 2012 UK/ Ireland tour - tickets on sale Friday 2nd December

Posted: 12 years ago

London drum and bass outfit Nero have had an incredible 12 months, although it was a while coming for Daniel Stephens and Joe Ray. Formed in 2004, Nero were nominated in the BBC Sound of 2011 poll just over a year ago. Maybe they were waiting for the music scene to catch them up.

If they were, it was a sound bet. In 2011, Nero played some of the UK's biggest festivals including Glastonbury, Bestival, Reading and Wireless. Their first ever headline tour, in October of this year, sold out and earned them a slot supporting Tinie Tempah on his autumn arena tour.

Just last week, the duo joined their label managers Chase & Status at the UKF: Bass Culture Event at Alexandra Palace. All this has followed the stellar success of their debut record, August's 'Welcome Reality', which reached No 1 in the UK album charts as did one of the clutch of hit singles, 'Promises, which was the pair's first chart topper. The sixth single, 'Reaching Out', will be released on Boxing Day so you'll be able to use some of those iTunes vouchers you got for Christmas.

The Second Reality Tour kicks off in Newcastle on 8th March, followed by gigs in Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow, Dublin, Cardiff and more, before the final date of the run at the Brixton Academy in London on Saturday 24th March 2012.

We will have tickets for the shows when they go on sale at 9AM on Friday 2nd December 2011, priced from £16.50 (€19.90 for Dublin).

After the tour, Nero will be doing a DJ set at Big Beach Bootique 5 in Brighton on 2nd June 2012. We have tickets available now priced £35.

Before the March tour, Nero have a selection of dates in the diary including a couple of uni DJ sets (Reading, Preston) and a live set at XFM Winter Wonderland 2011 at the Manchester Apollo on 5th December. We have re-sale tickets available for Winter Wonderland.
