White Lies

Since forming in 2003, the Duke Spirit have relied largely on word-of-mouth to build a reputation and push their brand of soulful indie rock, distinguished by Liela Moss' distinctive vocal, to new audiences.

It's worked pretty well. Despite comparatively modest chart success, the band's CV is an impressive one; clocking up best-selling video game credits for Guitar Hero and the soundtrack to 2011's 'Batman: Arkham City', as well as TV appearances including American network chat show giants David Letterman, Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel, Conan O'Brien and Carson Daly.

In eight years, the Duke Spirit have released three studio albums, the latest 'Bruiser' was issued in September 2011 to the (now) customary critical acclaim. All the industry praise with little comparable chart presence bestows the Duke Spirit with the uneasy status of being 'a band's band'. Not that it bothers a loyal following who will be pleased to hear that the Duke Spirit will be touring the new material early next year.

The spring dates kick off at the Ruby Lounge in Manchester on 1st March, followed by gigs in Leeds, Glasgow and Bristol, before the final show at Komedia in Brighton on Tuesday 6th March 2012.

We have tickets available now for all the 2012 dates, priced just £10. Note that tickets from the postponed Leeds gig on 19th September 2011 are valid for the March show.

Ahead of the spring dates, the Duke Spirit are continuing to support White Lies on their European tour with UK shows in Wolverhampton (12th December), Manchester (13th), Glasgow (15th) and finally Wembley Arena (17th). We have tickets available now for all the White Lies gigs, priced £17.50 to £23.50.

The Duke Spirit also have a headline show in Dunfermline on 14th December. We have tickets for that one too, priced only a tenner.
