Christina Perri for 'Lovestrong' January 2012 UK/ Ireland tour - tickets on sale Friday 4th November

Even if you don't watch 'Glee' or the Fox TV show 'So You Think You Can Dance', and why would you, there's still a pretty good chance you'll know who Christina Perri is or, at least, be familiar with her most famous song to date.

Every now and then, a new track appears that has TV production companies fighting it out for the chance to use it and which sees radio stations wondering whether they can get away with rotating it more than once an hour. Perri's breakthrough, 2010's 'Jar of Hearts', is one such song.

Penned by Perri and sounding (a lot) like a sequel to Beyoncé's 'Halo', it is a typical slice of modern piano pop dealing with a former boyfriend who wants to get back with Perri, probably on Facebook.

'Jar of Hearts' was a global hit; making the Top 20 in the US, No 4 in the UK and No2 in Australia, and earning Perri exposure on 'So You Think You Can Dance' and, in 2011, on 'Glee'. A week after 'So You Think You Can Dance', Perri signed to Atlantic Records.

Since then, the 25-year-old has been busy doing her best to prove that 'Jar of Hearts' wasn't a lucky punch, releasing her debut album 'Lovestrong' in May 2011. The record made the Top 10 in the US, UK, Canada and Australia and, satisfied that she was no one-hit wonder, Perri headed out on the Lovestrong Tour which reaches the UK in the New Year.

Christina Perri's UK dates kick off in Glasgow on Sunday 15th January, followed by gigs in Manchester, London (Shepherds Bush Empire) and Brighton, before the final date at the O2 Academy in Birmingham on 20th January. After the UK shows, Christina visits Ireland, playing the Ireland Academy in Dublin on 22nd January.

We will have tickets for all dates when they go on sale at 9AM on Friday 4th November, priced £15 for London, £13.50 for the remaining UK gigs and €19 for Dublin.
