And the red hot news this week is that we have a 24 hour pre-sale for Red Hot Chili Peppers' 2012 outdoor/ stadium tour. Just announced are an exclusive (so far) London show for New Order and a one-off charity show headlined by Paul Weller. Add in Jimmy Carr's massive shows and geekelectro bod Skrillex's extended tour and you have little reason for not finding at least something to get very excited about!

For their only UK and Ireland shows in 2012, RHCP have chosen three (so far) venues - Knebworth (23rd June), Sunderland (24th) and Dublin (26th). Tickets go on general sale this Friday at 9AM, but if you want to beat the rush, you will be able to buy tickets for the UK dates a full 24 hours beforehand via us!

For their first London show in five years and their first UK performance without Peter Hook, the iconic band have chosen the attractive East London venue, the Troxy, to perform on 10th December. It will be emotional and will sell out - tickets are £32.50.

Not just the ex-Jam man in concert but an entire evening of big names raising money for the Crisis charity at Hammersmith's Apollo on 20th Dec. Tickets for Stand Up and Rock will cost from £38.50 and are on sale at 10am Friday. Acts include Tim Minchin, Graham Coxon, Jo Brand and your host, Ross Noble.

Mencap: Little Noise Sessions 2011

Coldplay's Chris Martin and Jonny Buckland will now be joining the Little Noise Sessions party, appearing on 24th November with support from Ben Howard, Emeli Sandé and more. Tickets go on sale Monday at 9am, priced at £50.

The first dates for his new 2012/13 Gagging Order show have been trickling through this morning, with the first shows confirmed for far-reaching towns from April onwards including Chatham, Salisbury, Felixstowe, Basingstoke, Bradford, Plymouth and many more. Tickets are on sale from 10am on Friday.

John Bishop John Bishop's UK arena tour begins with two nights at the Cardiff International Arena on 21st and 22nd September 2012, followed by huge dates in Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow, Birmingham, Nottingham, Newcastle, London (The O2), Sheffield and Aberdeen, before the final date at the Belfast Odyssey Arena on 2nd November. Tickets will cost £30 and will be available from 10am on Friday.

The Saturday part of the event was announced earlier this week with tickets selling out in seconds (Rihanna has this effect on sales). Therefore it can be presumed that Sunday 4th Dec will also do the same when it goes on sale on Monday at 8am. Starting price is £45 and the line-up will be announced on the same day.

This will be the Hackney rapper and performer's first proper full headlining tour and kicks off in Birmingham, followed by Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow and the usual big cities before finishing in Brighton on 8th March - tickets cost £13 (or £15 for London).

His Mothership Tour continues to sell out across the US and Europe with news of further UK shows next year, already whipping up unbridled expectations amongst the converted. The 2012 leg of his tour kicks off in Edinburgh on 8th February, followed by gigs in Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Brixton and more, before the final show of the tour in Norwich on the 20th.

Regular member Scott Klopfenstein has been replaced by saxophonist Matt Appleton and its therefore all systems go with a new sound and new UK dates, starting with Birmingham and Nottingham, with more to follow before ending in Shepherd's Bush on 9th Feb. These cost from £14.50 (more for London).

Also on sale this week are full UK tours for the mysterious ninja producer Jaguar Skills, blues guitarist Oli Brown, Manchester's electro-trio The Whip, burlesque-classical glamster Emilie Autumn and new 2012 shows for Field Music and Example.
