Adele's November 2011 UK shows scrapped to allow full recovery after throat surgery

It's been a difficult past few months for award-winning, multi-platinum singer Adele and it's all just come to a head with the announcement that appeared on her official website earlier. In a nutshell, she's been forced to pull out of her remaining 2011 appearances, including the already-rescheduled UK dates in November.

This means that Wolverhampton on 7th/8th, Blackpool on the 10th, Bournemouth on the 12th, Cardiff on the 14th and Plymouth on the 15th have now been pulled indefinitely, rather than being rescheduled again

Her website states:

It is with deep regret that Adele has been forced to cancel her remaining live dates and promotional appearances in 2011. She is to undergo surgery to alleviate the current issues with her throat and a full recovery is expected. As a result, doctors have ordered her to rest her voice and completely recuperate before looking to schedule any work commitments. Ticket holders for all cancelled live dates will receive a refund from the point of purchase.

We wish her all the best - it must be a bit of a bummer (she does appreciate her fans' commitment), but probably best she gets it sorted now.

Meanwhile, to at least remind you how amazing she sounds without half a pack of Strepsils next to her bed, a new live CD/DVD package, "Adele - Live at the Royal Albert Hall", is to be released on 28th November.
