Skrillex extends The Mothership Tour into 2012 - tickets available Friday 4th November

Posted: 12 years ago

Sonny John Moore, aka Skrillex, is a very modern type of music star. Unbound by genre, the former frontman for emo outfit From First To Last and sometime vocalist for UK metalcore band Bring Me the Horizon has moved from guitar-led rock to electro-house (and back again) and delivered high profile remix and production work with artists including Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas and La Roux.

Skrillex's own music is a marriage of these various influences and has resulted in an action-packed, energetic sound that has quickly earned a reputation for thrilling live audiences since producing his debut EP, 'My name is Skrillex', in 2010.

The two subsequent EPs, 2010's 'Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites' and this summer's 'More Monsters and Sprites', have brought Moore mainstream recognition with the both releases making the top five of the US Dance and Heatseekers charts. Skrillex's stock continues to rise with his Mothership Tour selling out across the US and Europe.

The 2012 leg of The Mothership Tour kicks off at the HMV Picture House in Edinburgh on 8th February, followed by gigs in Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Brixton Academy and more, before the final show of the tour at the UEA in Norwich on 20th February 2012.

We will have tickets for all dates when they go on sale at 9AM on Friday 4th November, priced from £15 for Norwich to £18.50 for Brixton.

Ahead of the new dates, throughout November Skrillex is playing a series of UK gigs, supported variously by Feed Me, Flux Pavilion and Koan Sound - all of which are sold out (resale tickets may be available) with the exception of a second Belfast show at The Stiff Kitten at 10PM on 3rd December (after the Queens SU show). We still have some tickets available, priced £14.

The night before, he plays the Dublin Academy, supported by Koan Sound. Tickets are available now priced €25.
