XFM's Winter Wonderland has been brightening murky December nights since 2003. Originally launched as the Winter Warmer at London's Astoria (RIP), the annual event has now become an eagerly anticipated fixture in London and, following the launch of XFM in the city in 2006, in Manchester.
The line-ups for the 2011 shows will be announced next week but promise much. Previous years have seen performances from top bands including the Kaiser Chiefs, Kasabian, the Ting Tings and Biffy Clyro.
The 2010 Manchester line-up boasted The Wombats, Bombay Bicycle Club, The Futureheads, Mystery Jets, The View and Everything Everything. Meanwhile last year's London gig saw the Manic Street Preachers headline a bill which included White Lies, Two Door Cinema Club, The Drums and Mona.
This year's events take place at the Manchester Apollo on Monday 5th December and, just over a week later, at the Brixton Academy on Wednesday 14th December. Two finer venues for live music you could not wish to find.
We will have tickets for the two nights when they go on sale at 9AM on Monday 31st October priced £25 - one hour after the line-up is revealed live on air.
