James Morrison celebrates his Awakening with Jan/ Feb 2012 UK tour - tickets on sale Friday 7th October

Recently, we told you about Morrison's upcoming November UK tour. Well, he's only gone and sold-out all of them - but all is not lost. It looks as though Morrison is back on the road in 2012 with a full tour to celebrate his latest number 1 album, "The Awakening", with Belfast and Dublin confirmed for 28th and 29th January, followed by a dozen shows in February that will include Manchester (1st), Hammersmith (9th) and last stop Newcastle (19th).

We will have tickets from Friday at 9am, priced at £28.50 (£29.50 London and €35 Dublin). Demand will be huge, particularly Southend (12th Feb) - we can't find any record of him ever having played there before!

Morrison may have been away for a while before releasing his latest chart-topping success, but his popularity certainly hasn't waned in the slightest. His November tour, including an appearance at the Children in Need big bash in Manchester on the 17th, has sold out completely, not for the first time - he was doing the same last year as well. Not bad for an unassuming singer who stepped through the heady entrance of pop's fickle stadium just five years ago, notching-up his first number one album ("Undiscovered") and a clutch of hit-singles including "You Give Me Something", "Wonderful World" and the small matter of a BRIT Award. Catch him before he becomes seriously untouchable.
