Sam Lewis announces debut headline UK tour for Nov/ Dec 2011 - tickets available now

As KT Tunstall was conquering the world and touring her albums 'Eye to the Telescope' and 'Drastic Fantastic', Sam Lewis was at her side every step of the way. A budding singer-songwriter in his own right, and no doubt inspired by KT's meteoric rise, it wasn't long before Lewis committed his own brand of folky-Americana to tape, releasing his debut solo record, 2007's 'Everything You Are', whilst on a year out from playing alongside the Scottish singer-songwriter.
Ms Tunstall reciprocated Sam Lewis' support and contributed vocals to 'Another Lifetime', one of the album's many highlights. Lauded by the BBC and Mojo, and despite its low-fi origins, 'Everything You Are' attracted four-star reviews and Lewis started thinking about a follow-up and a career of his own.
Lewis' sophomore release, this autumn's 'The City and I', promises to be bolder and more energetic than the debut, with Sam no longer limited to a purely acoustic set up. He tours with KT Tunstall in October and November, before a new single, also called 'The City and I', is released on 28th November.
The new material (and much of the debut record, no doubt), will be on show on Sam Lewis' debut UK headline tour in November and December.
The tour kicks-off in Cardiff on 22nd November, followed by gigs in Manchester, London (The Bowery), York, Fife, Bristol and Leicester (on 1st December), before a series of three gigs with Manchester's Travelling Band in Leeds and Bury and the final date on the tour at The Trades Club in Hebden Bridge on 9th December.
We have tickets for many of the dates available now, priced £5 - £8.
