Injury causes postponement of Jamie 'Afro' Archer September 2011 UK tour

Posted: 12 years ago

Archer, the band led by former X Factor contestant Jamie Archer have had to reschedule their September UK tour which was due to commence in London, tonight.

The band features lead singer Jamie Archer, his brother Stephen Archer on drums and good friend Anthony Reed on guitar. Whilst rehearsing for the tour which would have kicked-off tonight with a gig at the Borderline, drummer Stephen fell and dislocated his wrist, causing the tour to be postponed.

The tour was to promote their debut single 'Insanity', which will come out on 3rd October.

Speaking about the postponement, Jamie had this to say:

I'm really frustrated and disappointed that we can't go out and perform tracks from the new album as we had hoped to do so. We've been in rehearsals solidly for the last four weeks and just shot the video to our new single "Insanity" at the weekend. Most importantly Stephen is OK, he has been told by doctors to take plenty of rest.
The band are really sorry for any disappointment or inconvenience caused. We will be back on the road soon and can't wait to meet our fans later in the year

Tickets will be valid for the rescheduled dates, which we'll publish as soon as we have.
