New tickets are a veritable who's-who of top-named stars and heavyweight rock acts. The new line-up of Smashing Pumpkins will unveil their wares in November, Tinchy Stryder's headlining his own tour and the JLS machine keeps rolling on.

Of special interest is the Human Planet Live tour which promises stunning visuals and live music from Nitin Sawhney.

2011/ 12 sees the start of some serious Pumpkins' action, starting with a new album, "Oceania", the first phase of a reissue program and a UK tour with their newest line-up. It'll start in Manchester on 11th November, followed by Glasgow, Newcastle, TWO shows in Brixton, Sheffield and finally, Birmingham on the 18th. £35/ £37.50 - on sale at 10am.

2012 will see the lads perform songs from new album (due November) plus their other hits in an arena tour during March 2012, starting with Liverpool, Birmingham, Cardiff (2 shows), London (O2 - 2 shows), Nottingham, Sheffield, Manchester, Newcastle, Aberdeen and Glasgow. Prices start at £25 and rising to £32.50 depending on location.

For his next release, "Off The Record", he's linked up with Calvin Harris - that'll be another hit, then. Meanwhile, Stryder will be on tour during the autumn with a clutch of shows across the country, starting with Liverpool, Manchester, Nottingham, Norwich and London so far. Prices start at £12.50.

Kasabian are shifting tickets at an alarming pace, so you'd best get in quick for these newies on sale from Friday. Belfast (25th Nov), Dublin (26th Nov) and Aberdeen (12th Dec) join the rest of the dates. Brighton has sold out, with others close to do doing the same!!

The Courteeners

The Apollo, Manchester's favourite drunken aunt, will bear witness to two homecoming dates for The Courteeners'in December. Thursday 8th and Friday 9th December 2011 are the two nights to remember, both of which are expected to sell out sharpish - £22.50. Expect to hear tracks from their forthcoming new album.

2011 sees the fourth full-length DJ Shadow studio album hit the shelves and he'll be plugging "The Less You Know, The Better" set with a November/ December UK tour, heading to Bristol on 28th Nov, followed by the usual suspects before heading back to London on 9th Dec. £19.50/ £21.

Next year, the band will return to the UK to reach the parts their previous visit didn't touch before, with the exception of the capital. First stop will be London on 8th March, followed by Edinburgh (10th), Liverpool (11th) and Bristol (12th), priced at £17.50 - £20 and demand is expected to be pretty high.

New Zealand's huge-selling soprano-cum-crossover success will return to these shores in 2012 with initial shows confirmed in Manchester, Southend and Bournemouth during March. More dates are expected to be announced in due course - meanwhile, these three retail from us at £29.50.

The original TV series deservedly won a BAFTA and this tour presents an opportunity to relive 'Human Planet' in all its sumptuous glory with the added thrill of Nitin Sawhney's soundtrack performed live in accompaniment. The concerts will kick off at the NEC/ LG Arena in Birmingham on 26th March and continue across the UK until Newcastle on 3rd April. £30 for all nights.

Fleetwood Mac's guitarist is on his 'Seeds We Sow' tour later this year, starting with Birmingham on 8th December, followed by Salford, Leeds, Edinburgh, Gateshead, Southampton and London on the 19th. Tickets will cost £42.50 regionally, £45 for London and demand is expected to be high.

Universal will be reissuing the band's classic 1983 debut album, "The Crossing", giving Big Country the perfect reason to play the whole set in its entirety next year. Tour dates start in Newcastle on 3rd February and include Dunfermline, London and cost from £22.50. On sale Friday at 9.30am.

Ex-Guns and Roses and Velvet Revolver guitarist Duff McKagan will be bringing his Loaded band to the UK in November for a handful of shows. Oxford, Leicester, Bristol and London have been confirmed so far - expect extracts from recent album "The Taking".

Melanie C recently released her fifth studio album, 'The Sea', and has announced two live dates to showcase the new material. Her first date is at the Liverpool Academy on Sunday 4th December followed by an East London gig at Scala on Friday 9th December, priced £15 for Liverpool and £16.50 for London.

The Rubberbandits are the hilarious 'comedy hip hop duo' of Blindboy Boat Club and Mr Chrome, formed in Limerick, Ireland, a decade or so ago. They've clocked up 7 million hits on You Tube and are coming to the UK in November. Tickets cost from £10 upwards.

Supported by The Temptations, Tavares and The Crystals, The Four Tops begin their 2012 UK tour at Sheffield's Motorpoint Arena on Friday 16th March, followed by arena dates in Newcastle, Glasgow, Nottingham, Birmingham, Manchester, Bournemouth, Cardiff and Liverpool, before the final show at London's O2 Arena on 28th March. Prices are £40/ £42.50.

No new album would be complete without an accompanying tour and 2012 will see Steve Hackett perform "Beyond The Shrouded Horizon" across the UK, including Farnham, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Holmfirth and more until Milton Keynes on 26th February, all in addition to a few 2011 dates. £17.50/ £23.

His 2012 'Thick as a Brick' tour kicks off at Perth Concert Hall on 14th April, followed by gigs in Glasgow, Newcastle, Liverpool, Sheffield, Manchester, London (Hammersmith Apollo), Cardiff and more, before the final show of the run at the Southampton Guild Hall on Sunday 6th May 2012, priced from £25.

The show will appear at the Lyric Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue, from 23rd November 2011 until 15th January 2012. Note that there are only daytime shows on most (but not all) days, at 10AM and 12PM or 11AM and 2PM, priced

With a solo album in the pipeline, titled '(I Can't Get No) Stevie Jackson', the Belle & Sebastian guitarist hits the UK during November in Newcastle , Manchester, Birmingham, London and more until a hometown show at King Tut's in Glasgow on the 25th. £12/ £15.

66 years old and still giving his all, Christy Moore will be continuing his live jaunt around Ireland, south and north, with a trio of shows in Belfast at the Waterfront. The new show is on 23rd Nov and on sale Thursday. UK stops in 2012 include Liverpool and Newcastle in April, all priced from £30.

Film characters and "smodcast" stars Jay and Silent Bob (Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith) will be getting old with four dates early in 2012, starting at the Manchester Apollo on 17th February, followed by the Hammersmith Apollo (18th) and the Edinburgh Festival Theatre (19th), before the final stop on the short whirlwind tour at Vicar Street in Dublin on 21st February 2012.
