Female-fronted alternative-metal band Japanese Voyeurs' name conjures-up lewd innuendo, especially with lyrics like "I'm a masochist, looking for a little fun". Their sound evokes memories of the short-lived Riot Grrrl-scene from the '90s, Hole, Daisy Chainsaw, Bis and Screaming Trees, but with ickle-girl vocals and lyrics of bile.

New album "Yolk", is as subtle as an air-strike and is likely to induce a spot of fist-pumping at a show near you, which leads us very nicely onto such matters. October and November have been set aside for a UK tour, although beforehand you have a show in Hoxton on 7th September (it's a fiver!) and a show in High Wycombe on the 29th (only £6).

The tour itself begins in Cardiff on 18th October and continues on to Birmingham, Southampton, Glasgow and more until another capital show, this time at the Camden Barfly on 9th November. We have tickets priced from £6 to £9.
