After notching-up four straight consecutive number one albums, Coldplay are poised and ready to make it five with the announcement of the new album. Entitled "Mylo Xyloto", the new opus will appear in the shops and online on 24th October and will feature the recent single, "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall", as well as many songs heard at festivals, including that memorable Glastonbury headlining slot.

"Mylo Xyloto" will come in various formats including a 12" x 12" box-set containing a pop-up package with graffiti artwork by David A.Carter plus numerous photographs, diaries and notebooks, as well as a CD and vinyl version of the album. There will also be standard digital, CD and vinyl (180-gram) versions. CD versions will come in a reversible sleeve.

As well as the excellent previously-aired newies such as "Us Against the World" and "Princess China", the new album will feature the upcoming single "Paradise", which is set for release on 12th September and, as with the 2008 album, "Viva La Vida", has been produced by Markus Dravs with Brian Eno giving a watchful eye.

Any news of any live Coldplay action will be swiftly communicated from us to you - as yet, all is quiet on that front, aside from playing shows in the US, Brazil and South Africa in Sep/Oct.
