You can't say we don't mingle with the international stars here at Allgigs - our recent competitions have given you the chance to win CDs by Barbra Streisand (ended) and Doris Day (ends on Friday 12th August), two multi-million selling starlets from both a bygone era and the present day.

Our next competition continues the theme of big-name female singers - and they don't get much more flamboyant and globally-loved as Dolly Parton.

Her career spans 40-plus years, she's sold over 100 millions worldwide (!) and earned several awards, including a handful of Grammys. You've all heard the classic, "Jolene", "Love is Like a Butterfly", "9 to 5" and "I Will Always Love You" (made into a multi-million selling hit by Whitney Houston), so how about "In the Meantime", "Country is as Country Does" and "Shine Like the Sun"? Well, unless you're Dolly's recording engineer [or an allgigs reviewer - Ed], that'll be a 'no' - so far.

Those three songs form part of the dozen belters that make up her new studio-album, "Better Day" - and it's a corker. Even better - ahead of her UK tour starting next week - we have 5 copies of the CD, to give away in our latest competition.

The competition is a prize-draw, with the winner chosen at random, and is open to UK/ Eire residents only.
