With their European dates having been announced some time ago, anticipation amongst UK Chili Peppers fans and numerous blog sites was palpable.

Finally, the quartet, featuring Frusciante-replacement guitarist Josh Klinghoffer have announced that they will be hitting these shores in November, touring the new album 'I'm With You' - due out here on 29th August, and available for pre-order right now.

Their last three albums have garnered critical acclaim, awards and the top spots in most countries across the world, so, no pressure for this one then, eh, lads? New single 'The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie' was released on Monday, and was leaked a few days prior to that.

The tour starts in Dublin's O2 arena on 4th November, moving across the Irish sea to London's O2 Arena for three nights from 7th to 10th November, then the SECC in Glasgow (12th), two dates in Manchester's Evening News Arena (14th and 15th), the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield (17th) and finally (currently) two dates in Birmingham's LG Arena on 19th and 20th November.

We will have tickets from Friday 29th July at 9AM, costing £45 - demand will be, well... red hot!

Update: support act announced

LA band Fool's Gold have been chosen as the support act for all of the UK dates. And no, they are not a Stone Roses tribute band. Hard to classify, their music is a fusion of indie and African rhythms/ percussion.
