Jon Fratelli solo tour - autumn 2011 dates on sale now/ Friday 22nd July

Posted: 12 years ago

Fresh from The Fratellis and Codeine Velvet Club, Jon Fratelli has spent much of 2011 on the road as a solo artist. After a series of successful spring dates, the Glaswegian is embarking on a short autumn tour.

Having charged the music scene in 2006, led by west London football terrace favourite 'Chelsea Dagger', The Fratellis' debut album 'Costello Music' peaked at No 2 earning the Scottish three-piece a 2007 BRIT award for Best British Breakthrough Act.

A year-and-a-half touring 'Costello Music' preceded the sophomore record, late 2007's 'Here We Stand'. Yet more touring followed before a breathless Fratellis took a break and Jon embarked on a new project with burlesque singer Lou Hickey, Codeine Velvet Club, releasing their eponymous debut in late 2009.

Retaining much of the CVC band, Jon Fratelli set about recording his debut solo album, 'Psycho Jukebox', which is set for release on 25th July 2011. The album promises more of Fratelli's 60s-tinged indie rock and another fine source of material for live shows.

The tour begins in Dundee on 14th September, before shows in Glasgow, Inverness, Dunfermline, Manchester, Leeds, Wolverhampton and London, with the final gig taking place at the Newcastle O2 Academy on 27th September.

We have tickets for all dates. Glasgow, Dunfermline, Manchester and Leeds shows are on sale now but the rest are available from 9AM on Friday 22nd July. All are around £10 except for London which is £12.

Ahead of the autumn dates, Jon Fratelli also plays Prestonpans Music Festival (30th July), the Wizard Festival 2011 (26th August), Bingley Music Live 2011 (30th September) and Ullapool's Loopallu 2011 (17th September).
