"Yippy yo, yippy yay" indeed - Snoop Dogg has certainly proven his longevity with his British fans after already owning Lovebox this coming Saturday and helping it to sell-out way before the other two days. Last year, his first live shows in the UK for three years were greeted initially with curiosity and finally with a collective fist-pump to the air.
Then in 2011, he sold out his Brighton, London and Manchester shows at the drop of a hat, prior to his Victoria Park appearance this weekend. You could make a Doggumentary about it - oh hang on, he already has. His 11th studio album of that name was issued in March and has already bothered the Top 10 in the States, while in the UK, his label prepares to unleash the summer-smash, "Boom" (featuring T-Pain), next Monday.
After all this summer activity, you'd be forgiven for thinking that Dogg's gonna count his dollar-bills. Of course he will be, but not before embarking on a UK arena tour to plug the album and pack the house out with his greatest hits. The shows begin in Liverpool on 6th October and continue to London on the 7th, Cardiff on the 8th and Glasgow on the 9th. We will have tickets for all shows from Friday (brought forward from Monday) at 9AM, starting at £29.50.
19 years into his career, you can rely on a full roster of block-rockers such as "Gin and Juice", "Doggy Dogg World", "Snoop's Upside Ya Head" and "Drop It Like It's Hot" - plus the aforementioned "Boom", which you can watch on the video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcDWh0YOtJQ . No surprises for guessing that Snoop's surrounded himself with writhing ladies in miniscule beachwear! Ah, it's a Dogg's life...
