There's already a pattern forming this week amongst festival organizers and councils alike and that is - get this year's festival out of the way and announce next year's a few days later. And why not? Sonisphere were first out of the traps with the announcement of an on-sale date for their 2012 tickets (today, Wednesday) - now the head-bods at T in the Park have deemed tomorrow, Thursday 14th July, as T-Day (well OK, we called it that).
Tickets will be released as a limited batch at 2011 prices and although no acts have been announced yet, demand is bound to be high once again for the Scottish gathering. Prices will range from £175 for Fri-Sun with no camping, £185 for camping or £195 for 4-day camping from Thursday.
This year's T in the Park was nothing short of monumental with a stellar line-up including: Foo Fighters, Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys and Beyoncé, as well as over 150 artists spread across 10 stages, comedy, a funfair and market stalls. The dates for your diary are 6th to 8th July 2012 and further tickets will become available nearer to next year's event - but at 2012 prices!
