We've heard of pop-stars postponing their tours and shows in the past few months - Duran Duran with laryngitis and Paul Simon with respiratory infections - but a broken foot is normally reserved for sportsmen and women. But chart-topper Jessie J has done just that - damaged her tarsals and ankle so badly, she's been ordered to rest for several weeks by her doctor, which must be a bit of a bummer for her as well as her fans. In a personal statement she apologises by saying:

Sorry doesn't feel enough to say, I am devastated for my fans that I know have been waiting to see me and working hard for tickets. I was so excited about the summer and I'm as upset as you all are. But unfortunately these things happen. I have to remain positive and I promise I will make it up later in the year.

Unfortunately, this news will affect several festival slots including T In The Park, Oxegen, T4 On The Beach, Wembley's Orange Rock Corps, the iTunes Festival, Lovebox, Party In The Park and Key 103 Summertime Live. Jessie is hopeful that she will be able to play her 6th August Big Chill date as well as the V Festival pairing at the end of August. Get well soon, Jessie!
