LostProphets leave the betrayed behind and look to the future with intimate Summer 2011 UK tour dates

Posted: 12 years ago

Welsh metallers LostProphets have so far had an incredible fourteen years in the fickle arena of the music biz which, OK, ain't exactly a Rolling Stones sort-of time-line but nonetheless, any band that lasts over a decade these days is to be applauded.

And applause is something that the Pontypriddians will be hearing by the ferry-load in the coming weeks - they're playing V Festival and European events later in the summer. The good news for those of you who hate festivals is that LostProphets will be playing three intimate festival warm-ups during August, starting with Oxford on the 11th, followed by Cardiff on the 17th and Norwich on the 18th. Tickets for the trio go on sale this Friday at 9am, priced at £17.50.

Don't be surprised if they announce further shows for later in the year - the band have hinted several times on their Twitter pages about further 'proper' shows and a fifth album. Rumoured to be recording the follow-up to "The Betrayed" in Hollywood, their chosen producer appears to be Ken Andrews (Tool, Failure and more) - so it won't be an album folk-ballads, then! The as-yet-untitled set should appear by the end of the year or early 2012.

Tip: LostProphets regularly sell out their shows - make sure you're back on this site by 9am on Friday!!
