After a very quiet 2010 and a handful of June 2011 dates, festival favourites The Subways have announced a series of autumn dates to coincide with the release of their new record.

The trio's third studio album, 'Money and Celebrity', is set to be released in mid-September, and the seven dates will be a chance to hear the new material live. The new record follows 2008's 'All or Nothing' and 'Young For Eternity', their 2007 debut.

'Young For Eternity' went gold in the UK but sustained commercial success has so far eluded The Subways. Undeterred, they've still managed to attract a cult following thanks to some electric festival appearances and a collaborative approach to connect with their following, using Pledgemusic to enable fans to contribute directly to upcoming releases and, in return, get their hands on limited edition releases and Subways merchandise.

The new album has been recorded with legendary producer Stephen Street, who has worked with Blur, Babyshambles and The Smiths, and The Subways have released a track from the forthcoming record as a free download. 'It's A Party', is available now from www.thesubways.net . Another single will be released ahead of the September issue of 'Money and Celebrity'.

The tour kicks off in Oxford on 17th September, ending at Southampton University on 3rd October. Tickets go on sale from 9AM on Wednesday 22nd June, costing £10.50.
