Only Men Aloud! December 2011 tour announced - tickets available now

Only Men Aloud

The name might hint cheekily at Only Men Aloud! being a troupe of gay or straight (works both ways) adult entertainers but there's no doubt these boys are singers.

The 18-strong Welsh male voice choir won the BBC's Last Choir Standing in 2008 and in doing so proved that Welsh men's choirs are not just about ruddy-faced renditions of 'Bread of Heaven'.

In the Il Divo mould [whose London gig also went on sale today, by the way - Ed], Only Men Aloud! are all about rock'n'roll, modern classics, sharp suits and even sharper jawlines. That doesn't mean 'OMA' are a victory of style over substance, far from it - these harmonies are so close you could brush your teeth with them.

On the back of their telly triumph, OMA have released two best-selling albums, 2008 debut 'Only Men Aloud!' and 2009's 'Band of Brothers' and toured to critical and popular acclaim. And, later this year, they'll be at it again touring some of the UK's larger venues thanks in part to their enormous popularity and partly to accommodate the 18-man choir's family and friends.

The tour kicks off in Glasgow on 2nd December, taking in Gateshead, Sheffield, Manchester and Liverpool, among others, before concluding the 12-date tour with a homecoming show at Cardiff's Motorpoint Arena on 17th December.

Tickets for all dates are available now, starting at £19.50.
