The Feeling

The University of Westminster boasts some impressive alumni, including Nick Mason and Roger Waters of Pink Floyd, and Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts. This rich rock heritage may have been a factor in the University launching a BA course in Commercial Music, which itself has an impressive record.

Five alumni from that course comprise the current line-up of pop heavy-hitters The Feeling. Formed (at uni) as 'Superfly', the five-piece went on to become the house band for comedian Richard Blackwood (when he briefly had a 'house') and earned their keep playing covers to the ski crowd at the La Tania resort in the French alps.

As The Feeling, the band released debut single 'Sewn' and then 'Fill My Little World' in early 2006. Both made the top ten, as did debut LP 'Twelve Stops and Home' (it reached No 2).

Following 2008's No 1 album 'Join with Us', The Feeling release their third album 'Together We Were Made' on 20th June, before taking the new material on the road in October

The autumn UK tour starts at the O2 Academy in Bournemouth on October 3rd, before finishing up in Manchester on the 12th, with stops in Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds and Glasgow on the way. Just the eight stops and home, then. These shows follows a summer London date at Kew Gardens on 6th July.

Tickets are available from 9AM on Friday June 3rd at 9am, prices start at £16.50.
