Hard Rock Calling 2011 gets away with murder by adding The Kills to the 2011 line-up

The Killers

Recently we reported on the latest additions added to this year's stonking Hard Rock Calling weekend in Hyde Park. Now, who was it again? Ah yes - The Killers. They're playing on the Main Stage on Friday night, by the way, with Kaiser Chiefs and James. Should be a goody.

And just to cause a small amount of confusion amongst the more addled-headed amongst us, is the even-newer addition of The Kills on the same night, though mercifully this lot will be kicking out the jams on the Pepsi Max Stage. Got that?

Furthermore, The Kills are actually in the country at the moment, ready to continue a UK tour which stretches from Manchester tonight, via the Evolution Weekender in Newcastle and several dates before hitting London's Roundhouse on 3rd June. Tickets for their own gigs (except the Roundhouse, which has sold out) cost £13.50. The Hard Rock Calling Friday night (24th June) is now the only way to catch The Kills (and The Killers for that matter) - £49.50 will get you in with more names to be announced in due course.

Another new name for this year's mammoth sessions is rock 'n' roll princess, Imelda May, who is teasing US audiences at the moment with her recent album, "Mayhem". She's already blasted her way into our affections, therefore her headlining slot on the Pepsi Max Stage on the Saturday should be a walkover. Ryan Bingham and Evaline are in support, plus on the Main Stage you also have rock behemoths Bon Jovi, English gentleman and all-round good Kink, Ray Davies plus Black Cards and Vintage Trouble. Tickets are still available at £59.

Finally on Sunday, the big guns just get bigger with Rod Stewart, Stevie Nicks, Adam Ant, Rumer, The Lighthouse Family, Mike and the Mechanics and loads more - nine hit-making acts in one day for £55? You do the math! Tickets are shifting quick for the whole weekend (24th - 26th June) so get in quick!!
