Doorly and Bench provide the sound-track to the 2011 Royal Wedding - and it's free!

Posted: 12 years ago

By now, you're either sick-to-death with news of the Royal Wedding, or you're mid-way through putting up some bunting whilst blasting out "God save the Queen".

Anyway, for a bit of fun, and backed by clothing chain Bench, Doorly has reworked Elgar's 'Land of Hope and Glory' - in readiness for it to be the sound-track for the big day, tomorrow. If you know Doorly, then you'll expect that it differs a tad from Elgar's "Pomp and Circumstance" classical version, being given a wee remix in a rub-a-dubstep stylee.

The song is available for free download from the bench website (www.bench.co.uk/commemorativedubplate), for streaming from SoundCloud (www.soundcloud.com/benchbeats/land-of-hope-and-glory-doorly/) or you can get your hands on a limited edition commemorative dubplate version (pictured) for the princely sum [ahem! - Ed] of - well, nothing, as long as you spend £20 or more from 11am tomorrow (29th April) in a Bench store. In order to get your mitts on the dubplate (just 500 produced, so, you may need to form an orderly queue!), you'll need to state the password (available from Bench's Facebook site - www.bench.co.uk/facebook) when you make your purchase.
