Springbok Nude Girls cancel most of their summer 2011 UK dates

Posted: 13 years ago

More bad news for fans of music from the southern hemisphere comes with the news of the cancellation of all but the London date for South Africa's Springbok Nude Girls' May/ June tour.

The Nudies were due to bring their brand of alternative rock to English and Scottish venues starting in Glasgow on 30th May, concluding in Bristol on 7th June. The only date which is scheduled to take place now is the London Shepherd's Bush Empire gig on 4th June, tickets for which cost £20.70. Support on the night comes from fellow South Africans Van Coke Cartel and female-fronted Brit band The Velveteens.

At present, we have been given no reason for the cancellation . It is doubtful that any of the dates will be rescheduled, so ticket-holders would probably be best off obtaining a refund from their point of purchase.
