Fenech-Soler announce rescheduled 2011 tour dates plus extras on sale Monday 28th March!

Posted: 13 years ago

Recently, we brought you news of lead-singer Ben Duffy's diagnosis of 'early-stage' testicular cancer and how he has been forced to abandon musical activity to undergo a course of chemotherapy. Thankfully, it's thought that Ben will be fighting fit and raring to get back on stage in time for shows later in the year.

The good news is that Fenech-Soler have re-scheduled those postponed shows, added four new ones and upgraded a venue for larger capacity. Positivity's whatcha need!

Their remixed tour looks like this: The opening night will be in Peterborough on 20th September and will continue via the usual cities such as Glasgow, Nottingham, Leeds etc until Brighton on 7th October.

There are a few observations to make - there will be an extra London date on 29th September (again at KOKO), the Manchester venue has been upgraded to the Academy 2 on 6th October, Bristol, Newcastle and Peterborough are brand new dates and there is no rescheduled Cardiff date - yet (we're pretty sure there will be, sit tight!).

Festival appearances should go ahead as planned (e.g. Evolution Weekender in May), as will the various band-members' DJing commitments. Meanwhile these new headlining dates will set you back from £8 upwards (£11 for London).

Don't forget that new single called "Stop and Stare", re-released on 18th April, will have all proceeds going to Teenage Cancer Trust. You all know the song by now - if you don't, check it out on the video, then go get it on the 18th next month!
