Irony befalls Sign of the Times with early closure - bargain tickets available

Posted: 13 years ago

With an ironic name like 'Sign of the Times' (the story's about a sign-writer), a further irony befalls the show currently running at the Duchess Theatre, meaning that it will finish almost two months early - the reason presumably being... wait for it... a sign of the (economic) times.

Starring ex "Stars in their Eyes" host Matthew Kelly, Tim Firth's (Calendar Girls, Our House the Musical etc) show concerns Frank, a sign-writer who has thirty years experience in erecting IKEA signs, and his move to a smaller typeface: writing crime thrillers.

Despite his efforts, Frank is resigned to accepting that his efforts will go unrewarded and unnoticed - until one day, a normal day at work starts to mirror the adventures, explosions and death-defying rescues in his thrilling stories. Does he live happily ever after? You'll have to go and see the play to find out! Gerard Kearns (Shameless) also stars.

If you want to see the show, you have just over one week, as it will now close on Saturday 2nd April. We also have a special offer for you, allowing you to book selected tickets for £17.50 instead of £46, giving you up to 62% off the standard price of a seat! The discount also covers some matinee performances on Saturdays. Click on the 'Book This Offer' button, below for availability.
