His scat-singing style and easy-going smooth soul music has earned him some Grammys, mainly for vocal work and most recently for singing on tracks for George Benson and Jill Scott. Jarreau will play concerts in London (Royal Festival Hall) on 3rd July, where seats range from £22.50 to £40, Birmingham (Symphony Hall) on 24th July for £34.50 and Manchester (Bridgewater Hall) on the 25th for either £29.50 or £34.50. Al's most familiar songs include the Top 10 hit "Moonlighting" from the '80s TV detective show of the same name, as well as "Mornin'" and "Trouble in Paradise" plus the occasional collaboration with jazz musicians such as David Sanborn and Bob James (most notably on their successful "Double Vision").
