Pete Yorn to make his mark in the UK in May 2011, 'Sans Fear' - tickets on sale now
Posted: 16th March 2011
After completing an extensive spring tour of his homeland, Pete Yorn will attempt to make his mark this part of the world, with his acclaimed self-titled sixth album, 'Pete Yorn', released in September 2010, through Vagrant Records (home to Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and The Replacements frontman, Paul Westerberg).
Produced by US indie deity Frank Black of The Pixies, 'Pete Yorn' is a louder, bolder and most welcome follow-up to his 2009 ballad-esque records, 'Back and Fourth' and 'Break Up', the latter featuring actress Scarlett Johansson.
So, Yorn will show what he really is about throughout his mini tour of the UK, which will see him play a handful of gigs, the third week of May, starting with the Manchester Academy on the 16th (release date of the second single off the album, 'Sans Fear') , via Glasgow's King Tuts on the 17th , London's KCLSU on the 18th and Birmingham's Library at the HMV Institute on the 19th.
Tickets will cost £12 regionally and £15 (plus fees) for London and go on sale this Friday 18th March at 9am, but note that tickets for Glasgow are already on sale.
