Janet Jackson to get up close and personal with rare UK dates in the summer 2011

Posted: 13 years ago

"When I Think of You", "Miss You Much" and "That's The Way Love Goes" will sound pretty familiar to Janet Jackson fans - they all reached number 1 in her native US, along with a whole raft of other single during the last 25 years or so. Here in the UK, she's not quite as prolific but we all remember "Nasty", "What Have You Done For Me Lately" and "Let's Wait a While" from her huge "Control" album in the '80s.

Not surprisingly, Janet Jackson's new World Tour is billed as "Number Ones - Up Close & Personal" and now London will be the first port of call for said tour during the summer. The controversial singer has announced a pair of Royal Albert Hall concerts on 30th June and 2nd July.

Each show will feature a selection from her 35 number one singles (bearing in mind that we're talking US and UK charts here) and more dates may be added to satisfy demand - which is bound to be huge. It remains to be seen if any other UK venues will appear on the proposed roster of 35 cities - we'll keep you abreast (sorry) of any developments.

Tickets will go on sale from 8am on Friday 4th March!!
