The much-anticipated announcement from V Festival has finally come - the line-up for this year's double-header in Essex and Staffordshire has been revealed!

If the big names in pop-music rock your world and you fancy whooping it up for a whole weekend, watching some of the nation's biggest artists and listening to the most familiar songs that have shaped the past 30 years or so, read on and salivate. The big four headliners this year are Eminem, Arctic Monkeys, Rihanna and Plan B, with a whole deluge of acts booked to appear at various times across the whole weekend at both sites.

V Festival will take place on 20th and 21st August, simultaneously across two English locations. On Saturday, Weston Park (Staffs) will welcome Eminem and Rihanna while Hylands Park (Essex) will host the Arctic Monkeys and Plan B - both headliners will swap sites on the Sunday! And there's much more...

Other main acts to perform are the award-winning urban-rap duo of Dizzee Rascal and Tinie Tempah, more award-winning pop from Jessie J, Ellie Goulding and Bruno Mars, hefty beats from Pendulum and Chase and Status, retro '80s memories from Duran Duran and Big Audio Dynamite and big guns from every student's bedroom wall, Kaiser Chiefs, Manic Street Preachers and Primal Scream. Timetables and further acts will be announced in due course (there are four live stages to fill!).

Tickets for the weekend will cost £175 with camping or £149 without the pain of a tent. You can add a campervan pass for £99 while cars (not to be slept in!) cost a fiver. If you only fancy one day at either site, this will set you back £83.50, a bargain if you can clock up six acts or more in one sitting!

On-sale date is this coming Friday 4th March at 9am - be prepared for a bit of a battle as demand will be very high.
