The acclaimed rock and blues guitarist Joe Bonamassa has just announced his return to recording and playing live solo dates (well, solo of sorts - his crack band will be joining him!). Recently the award-winning musician has been gigging and recording with the supergroup Black Country Communion, alongside Glenn Hughes, Jason Bonham and Derek Sherinian, spawning many sold-out nights and a pretty-decent eponymous debut album .
No doubt we will see more of BCC but in the meantime, it's business as usual with a Bonamassa UK tour in support of his new forthcoming album "Dust Bowl", due out in March. Glenn Hughes, John Hiatt and Vince Gill all feature on the album which is Joe's ninth for loyal label Provogue Records.
In support of the album, albeit later in the year, the blues-rocker has announced an October "Dust Bowl" tour starting with Blackpool on 15th October, followed by Nottingham (16th), Cardiff (18th), Plymouth (19th) and finally two nights at the Hammersmith Apollo on 21st and 22nd. Tickets are on sale from Wednesday at 9am, priced £30 - £50.
