Album number three is on its way for folky-pop outfit, Noah and the Whale.

Following 'Peaceful, the World Lays Me Down' (2008) and 'The First Days of Spring' (2009), 'Last Night on Earth' - the first single off which, 'LIFEGOESON' is already a chart darling - is expected for 7th March.

Could the fatalist title of this new LP be the motto Charlie Fink and his crew will be looking to play all the gigs of their upcoming May tour to? The tour will kick off in Manchester on 3rd May, via the cities of Leeds, Sheffield, Liverpool, Dublin, Portsmouth, Bristol, Birmingham, London (at the Roundhouse) and Nottingham, before terminating in Cambridge on 18th May.

Prior to that, the band will play a handful of dates between 30th March and 4th April (all sold out, I'm afraid), as well as at appear at the NME Awards show at KOKO on 17th February (also sold out).

Tickets for the 'Last Night on Earth' May tour are on sale now, priced at £13 regionally and £18.50 for the London show.
