Derren Brown

Hailed as a master of psychological illusion, Derren Brown has certainly had an impressive career since first appearing on TV and stage. Recently, Channel 4 showed an in-depth documentary about the man, featuring rare footage as well as the best moments as voted for by his own fans. He cracked the US with his most familiar early show, "Derren Brown: Mind Control" and stirred-up controversy with last year's pairing, "Hero at 30,000 Feet" and "Investigates" - now he's going to shake up the West End...

The Shaftesbury Theatre in London will host his hugely-successful "Svengali" show from 8th June until 16th July, completing the national tour schedule which will see him perform over shows last year. The show's content is as much of a mystery as the man himself but he promises "an evening of mind-melting based around audience participation" - you have been warned!

Tickets for the London shows will go on sale this Friday from 9am (available from, priced from £25 to £50 - note that the performances are not suitable for kids under 12. There are still tickets for some of his regional shows (around £30 for most venues), but note that a few are now sold-out, with tickets selling fast.
