Fresh from providing Patti Smith with harp and violia backing during her one-off performance at St-Giles-in-Fields church last week, indietronica wiz kid, Patrick Wolf is preparing his own headlining return. On 10th January, he announced via Twitter that his new single, 'The City', will come out on 14th March. Back in December 2010, he had released the first single off his upcoming fifth studio album, the much-anticipated 'Lupercalia' and follow-up to 'The Bachelor' (which, in passing, he no longer is, having also recently announced his recent engagement), scheduled for May 2011 and released via Hideout (an offshoot of Mercury Records).
While still deciding on the full track list for 'Lupercalia', Wolf will embark on a mini UK tour at the end of March, kicking-off in Glasgow on the 23rd, via Nottingham, Birmingham, Manchester and Bristol, before ending at London's KOKO on the 29th.
Tickets for the Lupercalia tour are currently on sale, costing £12.50 (+plus booking fee) regionally, and £17.50 for his London show.
