The holiday seems to be over for Leeds quintet, The Pigeon Detectives, as after taking extensive time out and living it up in New York City, the band have just announced that their third album in four years, 'Up, Guards and at 'Em', recorded at Brooklyn Recording Company over the past eighteenth months, will be coming out on 4th April.
'Done in Secret', the first single off the album, is expected in the coming weeks, so keep your ears and eyes out.
The PDs will accompany the release of this new opus with a thirteen-date tour, starting on 28th March in Middlesbrough, moving on to Glasgow, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Oxford, Norwich, London (at Shepherd's Bush Empire on 6th April), Bournemouth, Portsmouth, Bristol and Coventry, before ending in their hometown of Leeds on 12th April.
Tickets go on sale this coming Friday 4th January, at 9am, costing £14.00 for all dates except Coventry (£15) and London (£16). This is their first headline tour since 2008, so expect demand to be high!
