X Factor 2010 finalist Aiden Grimshaw announces May 2011 UK tour

Posted: 13 years ago

Aiden Grimshaw has just announced a UK tour starting in May. The 2010 X Factor finalist proved popular with the judges in the seventh series of the show, finally being eliminated in the sixth week.

Since leaving, like many of the X Factor finalists, he played a few dates up-and-down the country - including a date in his hometown of Blackpool at the Syndicate as well as a date in Newcastle, Southampton and Wrexham. These dates sold well, with Wrexham selling-out.

Which explains why the singer has just inked a record deal with Simon Cowell and announced a May tour stopping-off in O2 Academies across the land, including: Newcastle, Oxford, Hatfield, London, Liverpool, Birmingham and Sheffield. Tickets will cost just £10 and go on sale this Monday (31st January) at 9am - with the exception of the Hatfield date which is on sale now. The Hatfield date also has the option of VIP meet-and-greet tickets (£20).

Prior to that he will appear in the X Factor Live tour from February to March.

Update: Tour Cancelled!

Well, this is an interesting one. On the day that tickets went on sale, the tour was cancelled, apparently. Well done whoever arranged that one!

If you purchased tickets (quite a few of you will have), you should contact the ticket agent to obtain a refund.

At the moment we have no news as to why it was cancelled, but of course we'll keep you updated if we hear something.
