With regards to the comedy award, we could be referring to John Bishop's record-breaking drive on Top Gear's track last night, as part of their ongoing "Star in a Reasonably-Priced Car" slot. Instead, the dry-witted Liverpudlian picked up the award for 'Best Male Comedy Breakthrough Act' at the Comedy Awards on Saturday - recognition for his laid-back and easy-going style, personified on his TV series "John Bishop's Britain".

With the majority of his current UK arena/ concert hall tour selling-out, Bishop has announced a few more new and additional dates, starting with a biggie at the Royal Albert Hall on 21st April, his first and only in London so far this year, followed by extra dates in Aberdeen (22nd May - three dates at the AECC's Press and Journal Arena now), Brighton (29th May), Belfast (2nd June) and lastly his home-town at the Liverpool Echo Arena on 6th June.

All tickets are now on sale with the Royal Albert Hall one expected to shift pretty sharp-ish, much like his driving skills - tickets start at just £25 for all, except the Royal Albert Hall, which is £20 for gallery tickets, then £25 - £35 for seats.
