The incredible legacy that Peter Gabriel has been busy making during the past four decades, continues with the ongoing "New Blood, Scratch My Back" project. The ex-Genesis and Real World founder has just announced two new London dates, set to take place on 23rd and 24th March. This activity follows on from Gabriel's last capital gigs 12 months ago at the O2 Arena (which sold out - well, they were his first for a few years).

Tickets for this Hammersmith Apollo pairing go on sale this coming Monday (24th) at 9am and demand is expected to be enormous, especially as the prices are a bit cheaper than last year's - tickets start at £35.

Peter Gabriel's last album "Scratch My Back" was a collection of cover versions originally recorded by the likes of David Bowie, Elbow and David Byrne and, just like these upcoming Hammersmith dates, featured a full orchestra as opposed to the usual band set-up. Despite being released early last year, there is an underlying reason for these two nights - a forthcoming film release, in 3D in fact. Footage recorded during the two sets will be used for a future DVD or cinematic release. So, if you want to be 'down the front', you'd better book early!
