The Bravery for February 2011 UK tour and four-date London residency!

Posted: 13 years ago

Blimey, long time no see of The Bravery! Little had we heard of the New-York-based quintet, fronted by Sam Endicott, for the past three or four years, really. So what became of the BBC Sound of 2005 winners since releasing their self-titled debut back then? Well, two LPs, 'The Sun and The Moon' and 'Stir the Blood', were released respectively in 2007 and 2009 - neither charting in the UK. And in June last year, the band released their first live album and concert film of their performance at the Los Angeles Wiltern Theatre. Several of their songs, including 'Ours', 'Believe' and 'The Ocean' featured on the soundtracks of a few blockbusters ('Twilight') and hit TV series ('Arrested Development' and 'Gray's Anatomy'), and Endicott contributed three songs on Shakira's latest album including the title-track 'She Wolf'.

In December 2010, The Bravery announced a February UK tour including a London residency at the Hoxton Bar and Kitchen playing every Tuesday in February (four shows: 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd). They will also play the cities of Birmingham, Glasgow, Newcastle, Nottingham, Portsmouth, Bristol, Cambridge, Manchester and Leeds, between 2nd and 14th February.

This tour should be shortly followed with the release of a new single and album, now that the band have resolved a legal dispute with their record label, as announced on their social networks, so watch this space.

Until then, all tickets for the February tour are currently on sale, costing a crisp tenner, with the exception of the London shows priced at £12.50.
