It seems no-one can keep Lemmy's maniacal metal charges Motörhead out of the news for more than a few days - the influential rock and roll band of three decades or more have been added to the slowly-growing Sonisphere line-up for this year alongside other big names.

Their enigmatic frontman Lemmy has just recently had his self-titled DVD issued, a visual and aural treat that you could well have had in your hands for free, gratis, nada etc in a few days IF you had entered our competition a while back. We'll be announcing the winners very soon!

Joining Motorhead will be three more big draws in the shape of intense Troy Sander's deafeningly exciting Mastodon (new album soon cometh), Sweden's melodic death rockers In Flames (fresh from sparring with Pendulum and also writing a new album) and Aussie metalcore maestros Parkway Drive (after a recent UK tour and a forthcoming Bring Me The Horizon support in April). They join the likes of Slipknot, Biffy Clyro and Metallica, making this the rock festival of choice thus far - over to you, Download 2011!

Tickets for Sonisphere are still available - click on the Sunday or Monday tickets button for the full range of tickets up for grabs, although 3-Day Without Camping options are now sold out. The festival takes place from 7th to 10th July.
