Strictly Come Dancing 2011 tour makes Ann Widdecombe fair game - line up and dates announced

Strictly Come Dancing Live

There's nothing like a bit of 'feel-good' telly to brighten up your Christmas and New Year is there? A nice slice of X-Factor, a wedge of You've Been Framed and a whole smorgasbord of My Family re-runs - it's enough to make you sob loudly and grill your slippers. Strictly Come Dancing, meanwhile, has proved to be a winning formula, certainly when it comes to one particular participant.

Like John Sergeant before her, Ann Widdecombe has supplied many memorable moments on the dancefloor during the last season, including being physically dragged around the stage by her (possibly) long-suffering partner, Anton du Beke. It made for an admittedly engaging spectacle, brushing other competitors aside week after week. Eastenders' Kara Tointon and Artem Chigvintsev eventually won the competition and you will now get to see them, plus most of the other participants, including Widdecombe, Pamela Stephenson and Matt Baker with their dance partners on the Strictly Come Dancing 2011 Tour!

The opening dates take place in Nottingham from 14th - 16th January, with further stops in Sheffield, London, Liverpool, Dublin, Belfast, Birmingham, Manchester and finally Glasgow from 10th to 13th February. There are various matinees available and tickets cost from £35 upwards (with some Gold Seats now sold out and at a few venues).

Widdecombe's partner will not be Du Beke this time around, instead it will be the judge who gave her a right old roasting during the series (I mean critically, smutty people), Craig Revel Horwood. The two will no doubt provide many smiles throughout the tour, partly due to a few cutting remarks about the ex-MP and her, er, abilities. So don't delay - click away!
