Hungry? Got the Macca attacks? Paul McCartney for intimate 'Packed Lunch at the 100 Club' gig, Friday 17th December 2010

Posted: 13 years ago

It was only last week that Paul McCartney announced a pair of (relatively) intimate shows for London and his hometown - Liverpool, with tickets being snapped-up in no time. Well, now he's gone and trumped that with an even more intimate gig being announced for the 100 Club!

The Beatles legend will now play the venue this Friday - throwing his weight behind the "Save the 100 Club" campaign in the process. The stripped-back gig, dubbed 'Packed Lunch at the 100 Club', takes place just after midday this Friday (17th December 2010) - a day before his Hammersmith Apollo gig.

Speaking about the gig, Paul said:

I've played all sorts of different venues over the years and this kind of show presents a different kind of challenge to performing in a stadium. I love performing and I love connecting with audiences, be it in a stadium or arena or in a club. I'm looking forward to being able to interact with fans on a face to face basis, not to mention the smell of sweat and beer!

Tickets will go on sale tomorrow (Wednesday 15th Dec) at 10am, priced at £60 and will absolutely fly. Of course, if you get tickets, you may have to have a word with your boss about Friday...

Good luck!
