She's a Brit who, in 2006, left the BRIT School and then won a BRIT award - you couldn't make it up and nor did Adele - after having earned herself a recording contract with XL Recordings, she cantered up to number two with the huge radio-hit "Chasing Pavements" in 2008. Various awards and nominations followed, along with a few more hits and then....quiet.
Fast forward to 2011, and the sparky and sassy singer Adele has announced a new single, a new album and a new tour. The single, entitled "Rolling in the Deep", has already raced to number 1 in the Netherlands but is not due for release in the UK until 16th January, with the new album "21" set to appear a week later. More importantly, the South Londoner has confirmed a tour for April, beginning in Dublin on the 12th, followed by Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham and Southampton, before coming 'home' to the Shepherd's Bush Empire on the 21st. Tickets are on sale from this Friday at 9am.
