Flashdance - The Musical set to close early - last performance 15th January 2011

Opening in the West End just this September, Flashdance - The Musical, featuring Victoria Hamilton-Barritt in the lead role as Alex with former Busted singer and bass player Matt Willis playing love interest Nick Hurley.

The show features choreography by former Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips and premiered in the UK in 2008 when it toured venues all over the UK, settling in the Shaftesbury Theatre from 27th September. The curtain will drop on the production for the last time on Saturday 15th January.

Flashdance tells the everyday story of a woman (Alex) who is a welder by day and dancer by night (ahem), whose ultimate dream is to join the prestigious Shipley Dance Academy. Music featured includes the 80s hit 'Maniac' by Michael Sembello as well as (of course) the Irene Cara smash 'What a Feeling!'.
