Latin soles and Cuban heels - Carlos Acosta announces summer 2011 'Premieres Plus' London residency

Posted: 13 years ago

Rightly acclaimed as one of the world's key dancers and choreographers, international star Carlos Acosta is technical, nimble-of-feet, energising and graceful to watch - and that is an understatement.

Having already delighted audiences with the sell-out shows 'Tocororo' and 'Premieres', he is set to appear at the O2 Arena for a brand new adaptation of the ballet, 'Romeo and Juliet', in June next year. As previously reported, the landmark show will run for just three shows with tickets on sale now for £10 upwards.

In addition to that Royal Ballet extravaganza with the brilliant Tamara Rojo, Acosta has announced his return to the London Coliseum in July next year, armed with a dazzling update of his previously- successful 2010 show, now called 'Premieres Plus'.

From 27th to 30th July, Carlos will perform an enhanced and expanded version of this year's dance production, utilising the talents of soon-to-be announced international dance stars, as well as his good self of course. Tickets are on sale now and cost from £10 upwards. Remember that this show will only play for four nights, so book now to avoid missing out.

If you haven't seen the show before, you can expect a fusion of traditional Central American energy and poignant passages in equal measure. If you HAVE seen the show before - well, go and see this new re-choreographed version, potentially even more breath-taking than before.
