Isle of Wight Festival 2024

Let's cut to the chase - Pulp are now also playing the Isle of Wight Festival 2011. Job done. Well, not quite, because yesterday Kings of Leon were also added to the bill. It's looking like a good year to get your sea-legs.....

Yes, Pulp now have three festivals tapped into their collective organizers - Wireless, Primavera and now this one. Cocker and his charges will take to the stage as Saturday headliners on 11th June, while Kings of Leon will fill in on the night before, making this a must-have summer ticket.

Talking of which, tickets will be going on general sale this Friday (19th November) at 9am.

Speculation now grows as to which act will be booked for the remaining Sunday headline-slot on 12th June. Place your bets and pick from Coldplay (new album due), Beady Eye (Liam's new band) or perhaps Justin Bieber? [That's enough -Ed].

Update - Foo Fighters added!

The Foo Fighters have now also been announced to headline the Saturday night. Speaking about the addition, the festival's promoter, John Giddings, had this to say:

What band is more fitting to bring back for our tenth birthday than the Foos? They gave it their all in 2006 and have only become bigger and better since

And who can argue with that?

Update - Sunday head-liners will be Kasabian!

Kasabian have been announced as the band that will bring proceedings to a close, with the Leicester quartet set to rock-out on Sunday.
