Bob Slayer shows his metal - controversial Jason Rouse joins the Dec 2010 comedy roadshow

Posted: 13 years ago

If you thought Jerry Sadowitz crossed boundaries, then maybe you need to get a bit of Jason Rouse into your life. Never one to shy away from taboo subjects such as sex, sex and sex (normally involving family members or dead animals), Rouse has been christened 'the most metal comedian in the world' which roughly translates as 'dark' and Kerrang!/Metal Hammer et al love him.

Now he has hooked up with the infamous incendiary tour-manager from Hell, Bob Slayer and his Rock and Roll Circus to head up the forthcoming Highlight Comedy Club tour in December. Keeping it raw throughout the tour will be contortionist-extremist Chris Cross.

The tour begins in Reading on 1st December and continues right through to Chatham on the 12th, with various stops in between including two London/M25 dates in Clapham (2nd) and Watford (5th). Tickets are £10 or under plus fees.

Whilst Rouse could hardly be described as gentle (he's as subtle as a truck in a sandpit), his delivery borders on 'wind-up' and shouldn't be taken too seriously - but it might be best to stay away if you find the sight of baguettes offensive.
