Just announced on Iron Maiden's website - the UK leg of their Final Frontier World Tour! This string of dates sees the band hit the road around the country, rather than hole up in a residency or a festival - a bit like the Maiden of old.

'Eddie' will no doubt make an appearance, along with a lavish stage set and lighting show second to none. Frontman Bruce Dickinson says "The set list will be different to this year's tour. Of course we will play more songs from the new album and some other recent material, but we intend to include a healthy dose of older fan favourites too for those who haven't seen us before". Sounds like some cracking nights are on the horizon.

Maiden will kick it all off in Scotland on 20th July in Glasgow and the 21st in Aberdeen, before heading south to Newcastle, Sheffield, Nottingham, Manchester and Birmingham. Wales and Northern Ireland are next on the agenda - Cardiff on 1st August, followed by a bit of Belfast action on the 3rd, before heading back on the 5th towards their native East End and the O2 Arena (OK, it's about 10 minutes on the tube from Stratford on a good day).

Tickets go on sale at 10am on Saturday 20th November, from £37.50. More updates to follow - we're taking bets on the tour selling out in minutes.
